The webinar will focus on the need for accelerating restoration and reforestation programs, which may increase the ability of forests to mitigate climate change. As more than two billion hectares of degraded areas worldwide need restoration, with timely reforestation lagging in many countries and conflicting interests fuelling the debate on what constitutes success and appropriate forest management objectives, the PEN-CAFoRR COST Action aims to address the entire cycle of restoration and reforestation to broaden and disseminate scientific knowledge on the topic.
