Interdisciplinary summer school on forest ecosystems 2024 - From monitoring to modelling

This summer school is designed for PhD candidates and postdocs from a variety of research fields focusing on forest ecosystems.

For describing forest ecosystems appropriate datasets are essential. To enable a comprehensive description of the forest ecosystem, it is often necessary to work with data fusion methods based on various types of remote sensing data. The members of two COST Actions (3DForEcoTech, PROCLIAS) joined their forces to develop research and training activities to link forest dynamic models with modern technologies and this is the focus of this summer school.
